The story of Odeja does not begin in a factory, but in modest rural homes where quilted blankets were made from homemade linen fabric and wool fibers. It was a heritage of knowledge passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1927 \u2013 The Courage of Vision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

In 1927, a merchant from \u0160kofja Loka, Rado Thaler<\/strong>, recognized an opportunity. People no longer wanted to wait for custom-made products; they wanted high-quality, ready-made quilted blankets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a small shed next to a stable, he organized the manual production of blankets and employed the first workers. Modest beginnings, long working days and difficult conditions did not diminish the importance of this step \u2013 the foundation of the company had been laid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1932, the activity was officially registered and the first Mammut quilting machines<\/strong> were purchased. War, Nationalization and a New Chapter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The company operated even during the Second World War. After liberation in 1945, it was taken over by state administration, and in 1947 a new state company was established:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

District Manufacturing Company Odeja \u0160kofja Loka.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new period began, marked by limited resources, a planned economy and a shortage of materials \u2013 but also by strong determination and work ethic among employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
