Ensure long lasting comfort of your cotton products

  • Shake and ventilate the product every day so that moisture evaporates out of it. You will thus retain its freshness, thermal characteristics and prevent the intrusion of dust mites.
  • Wash the quilt on the wool program at reduced spinning. We recommend the use of liquid wool detergents or mild natural detergents for delicate laundry.
  • After washing, dry the product on a flat surface. Do not dry it in the sun or in a dryer.
  • In the process of washing the cotton fabric will naturally became lighter in colour.
  • Since the cotton fabric is not chemically treated, it is expected that it will became wrinkled, but with use the appearance will improve again.

Warning for the products with organic cotton filling

The completely natural cotton filling consist cotton seeds that may tint the fabric after the first washing. In order to remove any coloration, we recommend washing the product again immediately after the first washing, before drying.

An Example of Correct and Incorrect Maintenance of a Wool Product

CORRECT MAINTENANCE:

The photograph shows a wool pillow case, washed at 30°C, with the wool programme and a wool detergent. It has been dried on a level surface.

INCORRECT MAINTENANCE:

The photograph shows a wool pillow case, washed at 30°C, with the cotton programme with many rotations of the centrifuge, with a wool detergent. It was also dried on a level surface. We get the same effect if the pillow case is correctly washed, but dried in a tumble dryer or washed with regular detergent.

Heavy mechanical processing or increased temperature cause wool scales to open, fibres to entwine. The product is useless and no process can return it to the original shape or size.
